Anton van der Post

Anton van der Post, regarded as the innovator and guru of self-development and motivation in South Africa, and still regarded and respected as the leader in the field. Anton was born and schooled in this country and in 1970 was the first person to provide seminars on interpersonal skills, management communication and development. After attending training sessions at a multi-level company where he was employed, he embarked on his chosen career in his mid 20's, launching his courses through his company, Executive Motivation. Since then, he has dedicated 42 years of his life to developing and perfecting his skills as a communicator, speaker, motivator and management consultant.

Anton has gained his expertise by running seminars on Interpersonal Skills, Effective Speaking and Effective Sales, and by giving convention-bases motivational speeches. He also consults with top businesses on people-related problems.

As the only South African Certified Speaking Professional accredited by the National Speakers Association of the USA, Anton's business interests and seminars have extended throughout the globe. In 2009 he was awarded the South African Professional Speakers' Association Hall of Fame Award which is only awarded once a year.

Anton is known for his very direct, honest, highly entertaining and humorous approach. His approach gains him respect wherever he goes and bears long-term results in the business arena.

A large part of his success can be attributed to his ability to listen and understand the needs of his clientele and his ability to communicate in four different languages - English, Afrikaans, Zulu and Xhosa. Anton has personally conducted over 2500 two- and three-day seminars, and spoken at well over 3000 conventions in different parts of the world, with audiences numbering from 100 to 5000. He has been instrumental in positively affecting the lives of thousands of people over the past 42 years.
